Hi, followed your site for some months now and I would like say what an interesting & informative source of material it is.
I am 4 weeks pre-op (Bypass) and face the long road ahead.
I am a chef by trade and am really passionate about food and the pleasure it gives.
One thing my consultant was concerned about was if I could handle this passion post-op and for the rest of my life in a controlled manner?
I believe I can, my pleasure is also to see other people enjoy & appreciate the food I have prepared and placed before them.
With regards to myself, I look forward to the challenge of preparing meals that fit into the new lifestyle that will be tasty, varied, but contain the neccesary balance of vitamins required for a healthy future.
I note that a large number of your fascinating recipes use products that are difficult (& overpriced) to find in England. I am presently preparing a 'basic' shopping list so that I can source these ingredients for future use. If you have any UK comparable products, I would appreciate your assistance.
So, keep up the good work and please do not hesitate to get in touch if I can assist you with any recipes/ideas from the UK.
